Job Summary:

Vice President – BD as the City Business Development Leader, will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our business within the designated city. Your role will encompass developing and managing partnerships, overseeing operations, and taking ownership of the profit and loss (P&L) for the city. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our presence, driving revenue generation, and fostering strategic relationships.

Your responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:
  • Identify potential business opportunities and growth areas within the city to expand our market presence.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, potential clients, and partners to drive collaboration and revenue growth.
  1. Partner Management:
  • Identify and onboard strategic partners, vendors, and collaborators to enhance our service offerings and drive revenue.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring their satisfaction and engagement.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop joint marketing and promotional campaigns to increase brand visibility and attract customers.
  1. Operational Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations within the city, ensuring smooth execution of services and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as operations, marketing, and customer support to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor key operational metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
  1. Strategic Planning:
  • Contribute to the development of the city’s long-term strategic plans and initiatives, aligning them with the company’s overall vision.
  • Participate in leadership discussions to provide insights, suggestions, and recommendations for business growth and development.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and facilitate professional development to drive individual and team growth.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business development, partnerships & revenue growth.
  • Local candidate with in-depth knowledge of the city’s business landscape, culture and market dynamics.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in managing P&L responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Leadership experience, with a track record of managing and motivating teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • A self-starter and enthusiastic startup enthusiast, eager to take initiative, explore new territories, and contribute to building a business from the ground up.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Willingness to spend time in the field, directly engaging with partners, clients, and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions while considering multiple factors.
  • Prior experience in a startup environment or launching new initiatives is highly advantageous.
