Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly analytical and proactive Fraud Analyst with 7–8 years of experience in fraud risk management, fraud investigation, and fraud prevention. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the NBFC or FinTech industry and hands-on experience in identifying, investigating, and mitigating fraud risks across lending and payment ecosystems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and investigate suspicious transactions, customer activities, and fraud alerts.
  • Identify fraud patterns, emerging risks, and vulnerabilities through data analysis and trend monitoring.
  • Conduct detailed fraud investigations and prepare comprehensive case reports.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize fraud detection rules and monitoring strategies.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Operations, Compliance, Product, and Technology teams to strengthen fraud controls.
  • Perform root cause analysis of fraud incidents and recommend preventive measures.
  • Analyze portfolio performance and fraud trends to minimize losses.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare periodic MIS, dashboards, and fraud risk reports for management review.
  • Support internal and external audits related to fraud risk management.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7–8 years of experience in Fraud Risk, Fraud Analytics, Fraud Operations, or Investigations within NBFCs, Fintech’s, Digital Lending, or Financial Services organizations.
  • Strong understanding of fraud detection methodologies, risk controls, KYC, and customer onboarding processes.
  • Experience in handling lending fraud, identity fraud, application fraud, payment fraud, and account takeover fraud.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in Digital Lending, Consumer Finance, Personal Loans, Business Loans, or Payments.
  • Knowledge of fraud monitoring tools and case management systems.
  • Certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CAMS, or similar certifications are an added advantage.
