What are the rules for effective resume writing?

There are no rules for effective Resume Writing however, one can try and minimize the errors or mistakes which creep in while working on the Resume.
 
A few to take note of…

  • Try to eliminate spelling mistakes and grammatical errors like tenses etc.
  • Avoid using First Person Pronouns like ‘I’, ‘Me’, ‘my’ etc.’
  • Use a logical step by step structure and format your resume wisely
  • Be truthful, accurate and creative
  • Use bullet points to list out job responsibilities
  • Do not crowd the resume instead make effective use of white space, make all the sections stand out clearly.
  • Customize your resume depending on your industry, career stage and personal brand, Optimize effectively!
