Nine out of ten corporates are dissatisfied with their recruiters for failing to onboard the right talent on time. To resolve this issue, it’s crucial to address the root causes directly.
Corporations face significant challenges in recruitment due to a combination of factors. One key issue is employer branding: many companies fail to build a compelling reputation, which affects their attractiveness to top talent. Without a strong brand, candidates may perceive the company as lacking innovation or stability.
Employee feedback and experience also play a crucial role. If current employees are unhappy or disengaged, word spreads, deterring potential recruits. Negative reviews on platforms like Glassdoor can tarnish a company’s image and make recruitment harder.
Salary mismatches are another major hurdle. Companies often offer compensation that doesn’t align with market expectations or candidate qualifications, leading to dissatisfaction. Prospective employees may find the pay doesn’t match their experience or industry standards, causing them to decline offers.
Poor decision-making by hiring managers can also contribute to recruitment struggles. Bias, inconsistency, or lack of proper assessment during the hiring process can result in hiring the wrong candidates or not attracting the best fit for the role.
Lastly, high expectations from companies and unrealistic candidate requirements often make it difficult to find the right talent. Striving for perfection in an increasingly competitive job market can lead to frustration, slow hiring processes, and talent loss.
