Position: Network Support Engineer

Location: Mumbai (Prabhadevi)

Education: B Tech / MCA

Certifications: CCNA required, CCNP would be preferred

Experience: 7 – 12 years

Salary: INR 10 – 18 LPA

Role Responsibilities

• Supervising maintenance, installation, and updates of data centre systems, for both physical and software
• Establishing the rules related to data accessibility and distribution.
• Establishing the parameters for data entry or storage of customers’ data
• Ensuring the safety and protection of customers’ data
• Managing the storage and distribution of data
• Backing up data / configurations
• Maintenance of equipment
• Entertaining customers’ inquiries and issues
• Recording the installations, upgrades, and maintenance of systems or so􀅌ware
• Creating planning for capacity changes
• Upgrading hardware or software used by the organizati
• Researching new technologies to be utilized in the organizations.
• Presen􀆟ng new tools that could be used to improve efficiency or cutting costs.
• Ensuring a safe and secure facility to protect the systems and power configuration.
• Planning for any probable disruptions, problems, and emergency
• Providing support for technical teams
• Ensuring precautions are set in place whenever power outages or malicious attacks occurred.
• Customizing database to fit with the requirements of the company.
• Ensuring the operations are in compliance with the regulations and laws.
• Prepare plans for development and installation of data centre according to present and future requirements.
• Monitor all software and hardware products and ensure compliance to Data Centre standards and systems.
• Administer installation and maintenance of organization data centre.
• Monitor all ac􀆟vi􀆟es related to analysis and implement all data centre plans.
• Supervise designing and evaluation of all server systems according to measurement of process.
• Perform troubleshoot on data centre, identify issues and assist in timely resolution of same.
• Manage and perform research to design new advanced data centre.
• Ensure adherence to all established guidelines and management practices for employees.
• Coordinate with various departments and perform integra􀆟on of critical systems into infrastructure.
• Coordinate with IT, enhancement and business teams and develop strategies to ensure achievement of data centre capacity.
• Maintain expert knowledge on all applications and its use on systems for various critical systems.
• Ensure client satisfaction and provide op􀆟mal level of customer services for various departments.
• Maintain effective professional relationships with IT relationship managers.
• Maintain expert knowledge on all business procedures associate with assets and capacity.
• Monitor all functional resources required for growth and ensure appropriate working.
• In-depth understanding of the current technology landscape (hosting, network, systems, storage, others), industry trends and emerging technology
• Expertise in network design, bandwidth utilization requirements, infrastructure requirements, security, and network expansion.
• Network capacity planning and es􀆟ma􀆟ng the effects of growth on the network.
• Monitor applications, additional user growth projections and the effect on the network.
• Ability to establish and maintain global network monitoring and alerting platform and deliver regular reports on status, utilization, and recommendations to the management.
• Experience with virtualized environments especially VMware networking including basic and distributed switches.
• Engineer will participate in an on-call rota􀆟on and may be called upon to work off-hours to support customer escalations.
• Should have excellent analytical skills coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
• Documenting the current system.
• Keeping the document up to date (basically current state of the network).

Experience Required

• Hands-on experience with Firewalls like Tacitine, Routers and Switches, ex. Cisco, Juniper, DELL Network Devices, Aruba, and log analysis.
• Excellent communication, written and verbal skills.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Network security experience.
• Ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers and assist in timely resolution of same.
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• Should be ready to work in Shifts.
• Knowledge of Routing protocols BGP, OSPF, Windows & Linux OS.
• Good to have hands-on experience on Checkpoint, SonicWALL, Fortinet
