Position Summary:
The role of the Account Manager is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue retention and growth. By collaborating with internal partners, the Account Manager delivers exceptional service and a valuable solution. The position will manage a defined book of business aligned by customer within a geography and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals with sales team. You will also open up larger solution opportunities and introduce Solution and Proposition Sales. You will be responsible for account management, which includes customer relationship, revenue, and new business growth management.
Key Strengths:
- Revenue focus – candidates should have proven experience of managing revenue through new business, project implementation, recurring sales, renewals, and billing growth.
- Relationship Management – candidates should excel at managing customer relationships. Ability to retain customer interest, grow brand presence in customer organisation, manage escalations, engage customers on focus topics, and grow through referral, would be core to this job role.
- Industry knowledge – Strong knowledge of Capital & financial markets in Equities market is preferred.
- Communication and analytical skills – Proficient verbal and writing skills, skilled at creating presentation material, and comfort with managing financial analysis are essential skillsets for this job role.
Role Responsibilities
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the customer decision maker’s strategies, priorities and needs.
- Maintain solid understanding of the product propositions to initiate conversations and raise interest.
- Build and embed a long-term trusted advisor relationship within their accounts.
Experience Required
- Strong understanding of customers and their business model and workflows
- Industry experience within the customer segment
- Strong product knowledge
- Relationship building skills.
- Selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan, ability to use a variety of technology with a high level of proficiency.
- Problem solving–ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs.
- Presentation and communication skills: ability to deliver presentations and communicate at all levels within an organization.
