Position: Functional Analyst
Location: Bangalore / Mumbai

Job Description: The Functional Analyst will take descriptive BRS’s for deliverables and feature sets from Product Management Team. The Functional Analyst will work with the Product Team, Development team and Testing team to identify dependencies and the work required to bring it to an end of the Product development life cycle. The Functional Analyst will work on single area of functionality in detail.
Responsibilities:
- Work with customer proposition, product, development, and testing teams to understand product requirements, in conjunction with regulatory framework and existing features/ working of the product.
- Produce high quality documentation on user workflows, use cases and functional test scenarios that are detailed, easy to understand for development and QA teams to execute on and meet the business requirement.
- Testing and sign-off: Review QA Testcase and signoff, perform User acceptance test and sign off, analyse and document gaps, if any, with respect to requirements and delivery.
- Closely collaborate with product managers, business analysts, developers, testers, and technical operations teams to: facilitate, understand and contribute to technical discussions, agree on product structure and specifications, clarify on queries, supervise delivery and manage defects.
- Manage a JIRA backlog if any or document them on confluence.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field, with specialization in Data Science. A master’s degree or relevant certifications will be a plus.
- Knowledge of financial markets: Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience with deep understanding of equity trading, derivatives, risk management, and market data concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyse complex business requirements, identify inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions based on available frameworks.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Ability to document ideas in simple and effective way. Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented: Ability to pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy in documenting scenarios, data maps, workflow, and design specifications.
Desirable Skills/ Experience:
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Up to date with SEBI regulations and guidelines
- Tools: MS Office, JIRA, Confluence, UML diagrams, flowcharts
- Excellent domain knowledge, particularly relating to real-time risk management, including collateral management, margin management, order management, limits management, real-time monitoring and management of market, position, and firm risk.
