I do not need Resume writing right now?

What is the ‘right time’ to get a Resume done? It is a million-dollar question.
 
I have come across this answer many times from professional’s right from Junior/Mid Management position to Top Executives. Professionals rarely acknowledge that they need help or need to sound out their career plans with another professional who might be able to help him work out or address teething issues in his profile. One needs to understand that they are good or maybe they are the best in their area of work but Resume Writing, Career Planning or Job Search is not their area of expertise. They might have changed Jobs couple of times in their career that’s it! That does not make them an expert in Resume Writing or Career Planning.
 
I would rather ask what is it that you are looking to achieve in your career. Or, have you been getting the desired response on the Job Portals you use? Are you getting Interview calls as per your requirement? Have you been able to negotiate the salary that you felt you deserved? Are you able to take your career to the next level? Are you getting the right job?   
 
There is never a right time rather you have to make time! You keep pushing it further till it becomes critical to take corrective action. One forgets that in the process you lose confidence and end up harming your career!
