Interview Coaching Webinar hosted by Team Recruiters was targeted to provide solutions for some crucial subjects in a JobSearch by young professionals…

· Discovering ‘key areas’ that are challenging to all Freshers while facing a Job Interview.

· Unlock the most productive & effective ways to overcome almost all difficulties concerning Interviewquestions particularly ‘Tell me about yourself?’, because we believe that no matter which stream a young professional belongs to, they all end up in the same tangle.

· It helped College Fresher’s to acquire an edge over their peers in acquiring the right attention from the HiringManager by addressing on Internships and Hobbies etc. They learned to deliver the best interview possible & practically guarantee themselves a prospective JobOffers.

· Identify areas of concern in their Resume so that they are able to hold the attention of the Recruiter.

· Since, VirtualInterview Sessions are a routine affair so the young professionals got themselves equipped with appropriate netiquettes which further went on to boosts their morale & chances of impressing the Interviewer.

Interview Preparation… just like what we did to clear the competitive examination:

• Identify specific areas of concern & start working on it early. Any gap, be it in communication or your curriculum, can be covered by preparing for it early.

• Do the research about the organisation, while applying for the job.

• Go through the commonly asked Interview questions.

• Make sure you are ready with copies of your resume, educational certificates & list of accomplishments.

• Be confident to ask a few questions to the Hiring Manager but be relevant.

• Last but not the least dressing up appropriately creates a lasting impression.

We are all learning; even the top executives & management professionals are learning new skills & new tricks during this pandemic and therefore I request you all to have the patience and faith in the process. Be graceful and ready to adapt to the necessary changes in life. This has appropriate resonance with Charles Darwin, the famous naturalist known for his contributions to the science of evolution who said that it’s not the strongest of the species that survive, not the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change.

To start with – An Interview literally means a one-on-one conversation between a Job Seeker and the Hiring Manager and it is a two way highway. Both the parties to the conversation take active part to know each other better, means the interviewer is keen to know all about the candidate & is keenly interested in knowing how much value the future prospective employee will add to the organisation & similarly the employee is curious to know the job responsibilities & the financial & social benefits offered by the establishment against the services rendered by him/her. Hence, it is imperative to understand that both the prospective Employee & Hiring Manager bring to the table what best they have to offer.

Even if your credentials are good both academically & also in extra co-curricular activities a Good Resume helps you….

# Helps you in building a positive narrative around your profile… a beautiful story…

# Gets you short-listed for an interview & is the first step up the ladder of recruitment.

# Is a game changer for any professional & provides a platform from where numerous possibilities arise for your Career.

# Helps to open doors, to help you move forward in the right path on your career growth.

# Draws the attention of the Hiring Manager & gets you Shortlisted from amongst the many prospective that are available on the Job Portals & professional networking sites like LinkedIn.

# Helps you in identifying suitable job opportunities & similarly it helps prospective employers and recruiters to find a good fit or a right match for the positions advertised.

When you tell someone not to do anything, I am sure they will end up doing the same. And believe it or not there is a science behind why we do things we’re told not to do…. This behaviour of ours is purely psychological & is known as Reactance.

We are going to discuss CV REJECT instead of CV SELECT…

# Avoid ridiculous email address as it will instantly build a negative perception.

# Avoid spelling or grammatical mistake as it can put-off a Hiring Manager.

# Use a Photograph only if you feel it adds value.

# Use a Word format or a PDF File only.

# When you list your academic journey you have accurate periods from the start to the end, usually stipulating a month or a year is sufficient. Resume without such information is likely to be probed harder. By not putting it you are raising eyebrows. Be prepared to accept that you fared average as you were may be into mobile games or lacked focus on the curriculum.

# Leave out irrelevant details.

# Misleading information is a big NO. So, inflated educational achievements, exaggerated internship details, hyped career accomplishments etc are a complete turn off.

# Avoid sounding COOL & HAPPENING!

# Information on Internship is important & critical.
