To briefly address the different formats prevalent in the market…

Bio Data: It is the short form of biographical data. It focuses on particular details like Date of birth, Gender, Religion, Residential address, marital status and ones likes and dislikes.

Resume: It is a French word used for “Summary”. A resume is ideally a summary of one’s education, skills and other employment details required at the time of applying for a job. It is usually 1/2 pages long.

Curriculum Vitae / CV: It is derived from the Latin word meaning “course of life” It is far more detailed than a resume. It also mentions the candidates personal work experience through the years and usually covers 3 or more pages.
